The agreement, which applies to Norwegian industrial workers among others, sets a framework for wage increases of 4.4 percent. It will serve as a benchmark for the rest of the collective bargaining process.
According to the agreement, there will be a general supplement providing a salary increase of just over 1,000 Norwegian kroner per month. In addition, there will be a low-wage initiative.
However, the Parat union, representing pilots, cabin crew and ground staff in the aviation industry, has not reached a settlement, and its strike threat remains.
