Gene Simmons was taken to hospital, but was soon discharged and is resting at home. He is not expected to have suffered any lasting injuries from the accident and no one else was injured either.
The accident occurred on Pacific Coast Highway in the Los Angeles district of Malibu. Simmons lost control of the car which suddenly crossed over to the opposite lane and was traveling against traffic before colliding with a parked vehicle.
Gene Simmons' 76-year-old wife Shannon tells TMZ that he hates drinking water and was dehydrated after starting a new medication, which is said to have caused him to doze off at the wheel.
