The Chinese vehicle manufacturer Geely Automobile, which like Volvo Cars is part of billionaire Li Shufu's sphere, reports a strong profit increase for 2024.
Sales rose by 32 percent to a total of 2.1 million sold vehicles, while the company's profit amounted to 16.6 billion yuan, equivalent to almost 23.4 billion kronor.
The profit increase comes after the company, following a decade of expansion, has instead chosen a new strategy with cost savings and collaborations, including between Zeekr and Lynk & Co, where the former car brand is to be seen as a premium alternative in a higher price class.
