The Sweden-Israel Friendship Association continues to create upset feelings at the Book Fair in Gothenburg. Palestine activists protest against a lecture on Gaza by holding up flags and showing pictures of starving children

The lecture by Christina Toledano Åsbrink, who is resident in Israel, initially had the title "The fabricated famine in Gaza" – but after pressure from the Book Fair it was changed to "What happens to the aid to Gaza's inhabitants".

Earlier in the day, she held a lecture about the UN agency Unrwa, which initially had the title "Unrwa – the link between terror and the UN?", but was changed to "How does Unrwa work?"

A number of listeners also gathered then to mark their discontent with Toledano Åsbrink's opinions.

It is completely horrible that the Book Fair allows conspiracy theories, said a woman with a Palestinian scarf.

Nearly 70 Swedish cultural figures signed on Thursday a call against the Book Fair giving "space to genocide propaganda".
