The man is charged with over 50 counts of rape of children and gross exploitation of children, according to a press release from the Swedish Prosecution Authority.
The man is also charged with aggravated exploitation of children for sexual posing, sexual molestation, child pornography offenses and sexual assault of children. All crimes were committed remotely.
"The suspected crimes were committed online between 2020 and 2025. Most of the girls reside in Sweden," says Public Prosecutor Mattias Vilhelmsson in the press release.
Until the man was arrested, he had worked at a school in Gävle as support staff, but there is no suspicion that he subjected any students at the school to a crime.
