American tennis player Coco Gauff is through to the US Open after a straight-set victory over fellow American Iva Jović, but she chose to pay tribute to her 18-year-old opponent, who was just eliminated.
"Iva is a fantastic player and talent," Gauff said after the match.
Gauff was happy with the match and thinks it is one of her best performances in the tournament so far. In the quarterfinals, she will face Russia’s Mirra Andreeva.
