Oil prices rose by about 2 percent on Monday. A barrel of North Sea oil costs just under $85. Oil price movements affect prices at the pump.
On Monday, fuel chains will raise the price of gasoline by 35 öre and diesel by 20 öre, according to company prices, which are usually followed by equally large changes for private motorists.
The new gasoline price for private customers will therefore be around SEK 14.50 per litre, while diesel will be around SEK 18.70.
This can be compared with about 15 and 17 kronor per litre before the war in the Middle East started on February 28.
The current price is affected by the temporary tax cuts introduced on May 1 and July 1.
