Oil prices are stable on Tuesday after yesterday's rise. A barrel of North Sea oil costs just over $87, compared with $83 at the end of last week.

The development of oil prices affects prices at the pump.

On Tuesday, fuel chains will raise the price of gasoline by 50 öre and diesel by 85 öre, according to company prices, which are usually followed by equally large changes for private motorists.

The new gasoline price for private customers will therefore be around 15 kronor per litre, while diesel will be around 19.50 kronor.

This compares with approximately 15 and 17 kronor per litre before the war in the Middle East started on February 28. The current price is affected by the temporary tax cuts that were introduced on May 1 and July 1.
