From July 1, the price at the pump will be reduced by 3 kronor per liter for both gasoline and diesel. This was the government's announcement on Wednesday.

But at the same time, fuel prices are rising further as a result of oil prices rising again on the world market.

The price of diesel will rise by 60 öre per liter, gasoline by 30 öre, according to the chains' corporate prices, which is usually followed by an equally large change for private motorists.

The new private price will be around 21.40 kronor per liter for diesel while gasoline will cost around 18.70 kronor per liter.

Before the outbreak of war in the Middle East on February 28, gasoline cost around 15 kronor per liter and diesel about 17 kronor per liter.
