Gas stations become Russia’s new war target in Ukraine, report says

At least 80 of the attacks have taken place in the Kharkiv region, according to local politician Oleksandr Skoryk.

Last night, a gas station in Kharkiv was attacked, according to Ukraine's National Rescue Service. According to CNN, at least 30 gas stations around Ukraine have been attacked since June.

Ukrainian representatives link the attacks to Ukraine's recent escalation of its attacks on the Russian oil industry, which has led to widespread gasoline shortages in Russia.

"Their attitude is: if we are short of gasoline, why should life continue as usual for you?" Vitaly Dyakivnychk, head of the Poltava regional military administration, told the FT.
