Gas is a large part of the energy mix in Europe and the price on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange can have a major impact on electricity prices in Sweden.
Monday's price levels can be compared with levels of around 30 euros per megawatt hour earlier this year, before the Iran war.
The war in the Middle East has at times more or less completely closed gas transport through the Strait of Hormuz - where normally around 20 percent of the world's gas is transported - and has also, as a result of direct attacks, knocked out large gas fields in countries around the Persian Gulf.
