British actor Ian McKellen, who played the wizard Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" films, is being treated in hospital after falling from a theatre stage in London.
The 85-year-old actor screamed in pain after the fall, according to a BBC journalist who was at the theatre, which was evacuated after the accident.
According to a theatre spokesperson, McKellen is "in good spirits" after a medical examination confirmed that he will make a full recovery.
