The two gambling companies knew from collected gaming data that the man had serious gambling problems, the Svea Court of Appeal finds. Nevertheless, the player received bonus offers, became a VIP customer and was invited to competitions that required further gambling. Over three and a half years, between 2016 and 2019, the man lost nearly 4.7 million kronor on online games. The gambling companies, both part of the Betsson group, must now repay him that money.
