Gabriel Landeskog is getting closer to a comeback in NHL. Colorado Avalanche is now choosing to bring him home from the loan to Colorado Eagles in the farm league AHL, announces the NHL club.
Last week, Landeskog played his first hockey match in almost three years when he stepped onto the ice for Eagles. The 32-year-old Swede has had major injury problems over the last two seasons and hasn't played ice hockey since he, as Avalanche's team captain, lifted the Stanley Cup trophy in June 2022.
In Eagles, it has been two matches and two points (1+1), but now it may be time for a comeback on the biggest stage. Colorado is preparing for the NHL playoffs, where the team will face Dallas in the first round, starting this weekend.
