According to Foot Mercato, Leeds will buy him out of the contract with Lille. The price tag is said to be around 135 million kronor.

According to Expressen, the national team back will sign a four-year contract worth approximately 50 million kronor per year.

Prior to the national team match against Hungary in Budapest in June, Gudmundsson was tight-lipped about his future but revealed that a move was possible and that he was aware of interest from several clubs.

I know a little. But I cannot say anything about that. I have also been clear that I want to focus on the national team now and then we can talk later. I think it will be an interesting summer, he said then.

Leeds is a newcomer to the Premier League.

Gudmundsson has been part of Lille since 2021. He has also played abroad for Groningen and Heerenveen.
