The Leeds full-back has reportedly suffered a more serious cruciate ligament injury, writes transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X.

Gudmundsson was forced to leave in the first half of the friendly match against Liverpool.

It was a little feeling, so we'll see, Gudmundsson told Aftonbladet after the match.

But now it appears that it is more than just a feeling. According to Fabrizio Romano, it is a cruciate ligament injury that will keep the Sweden international out of action for six to eight months.

Leeds has not yet commented on Gudmundsson's injury.
