Falling oil prices amid hopes of some kind of peace settlement between Iran and the US are also having an effect at the gas station.
Fuel chains are now lowering the price of diesel by another 50 öre per liter, according to the companies' price information for corporate customers, which indicates the change will also apply to private motorists. The price reduction follows Thursday's cut of just over one krona.
Diesel therefore costs around SEK 20.50 at the pump.
The price of gasoline will be reduced by 10 öre on Friday after the 50 öre cut on Thursday. The new price for private motorists will be approximately 18 kronor.
Before the war began on February 28, gasoline and diesel cost 15 and 17 kronor per liter, respectively.
