A barrel of North Sea oil cost $82 on Monday, compared with about $88 at the end of last week. The oil price affects prices at the pump.
Fuel chains are cutting gasoline prices by 55 öre and diesel by 85 öre per litre, according to company prices that are usually matched by similarly large changes for private motorists.
The new gasoline price for private customers will be around SEK 14.60 per litre, while diesel will be around SEK 19.10.
This can be compared with about 15 and 17 kronor per litre before the war in the Middle East started on February 28.
The current price is affected by the temporary tax cuts introduced on May 1 and July 1.
