The skyrocketing oil prices are now leaving deep marks on motorists' wallets. Since the start of the Iran war on February 28, diesel has become about 7 kronor more expensive. That's an increase of about 40 percent to about 24.50 kronor, according to the fuel chains' corporate prices, which indicate how much ordinary motorists pay.

At the same time, the price of gasoline has increased by almost 4 kronor to approximately 19 kronor per liter, depending on whether it is an unmanned or manned station.

At its peak, at the beginning of the Ukraine war in 2022, diesel cost over 28 kronor while gasoline cost around 24 kronor.
