It was immediately hot air for Frondell, who in last night's game against the New York Islanders took a place on Chicago's first line, alongside stars Connor Bedard and Ryan Greene.
"I wouldn’t put him in a situation that I don’t think he can handle," coach Jeff Blashill said before the game, according to the AP.
Frondell started his NHL career in the best way possible, scoring a point straight away. He grabbed the puck after the Islanders were sloppy in the neutral zone and passed it to a free Ilja Mikheyev, who was able to make it 2–1 at the end of the first period.
Chicago won the game 4–3.
