"It was hard to breathe out there, but now I'm ready for the match, hopefully," Frondell tells the newspaper, according to Aftonbladet.
At Tuesday's practice, Frondell played alongside Canadians Connor Bedard and Ryan Greene on the team's first line.
"If I didn't think he could handle the positions I put him in, I wouldn't do it right away," said coach Jeff Blashill.
The Swede also took a place in the team's starting lineup on the power play, writes the Chicago Sun-Times.
The match will be played against the New York Islanders and starts at midnight local time in Sweden.
