Frölunda's record streak has been broken. After 15 straight opening wins in the SDHL, the ice hockey team from Gothenburg lost away to second-placed and newcomer Färjestad 0–2.

No team has previously started a season in the women's top league with as many straight wins, but Frölunda's winning streak came to an end in Karlstad on Wednesday evening.

The reigning champion team fell 0–2 away to Färjestad, who are newcomers to the series and second-placed after 16 matches played.

I'm really disappointed and the fact that it's Färjestad in Karlstad with that rivalry makes it hurt extra bad, says Frölunda forward Hanna Olsson after the loss, according to SVT .

Big match winners for Färjestad were goal scorers Julie Gough and Ella Albinsson and goalkeeper Ida Boman. Boman saved a total of 38 shots.
