Frölunda pulled off an incredible comeback and defeated Timrå 4-3 at the end of the fifth period. Skellefteå has simultaneously turned around its quarterfinal series against Färjestad.

Timrå had the lead with 3–1 all the way into the final minutes of the third period. But Arttu Ruotsalainen reduced the lead with 3.32 minutes remaining and also managed to score the equalizer when only six seconds remained.

The game went to overtime. But the decision was delayed and came only after more than 38 minutes when Isac Born scored 4–3.

Nice not to play a sixth, says Born to Sportbladet.

Frölunda's goalkeeper Lasse Johansson made 44 saves.

He saves the team all the time and gives us a chance to stay in the game so that we can have these five periods. And that we win the game in the end, says Born about Johansson's performance.

Frölunda now leads the series, which is decided in best of seven, with 2–1.

Skellefteå has simultaneously turned their quarterfinal series against Färjestad. Sunday's 4–1 win in Karlstad was followed up with 4–2 at home in Västerbotten.

Lettish forward Martins Dzierkals scored the eventually decisive 3–1 goal in the third period and gave the team a 2–1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Match four in both quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, also in Timrå and Skellefteå respectively.
