Most of the action was in the home team’s favour at Scandinavium. Isac Heens scored to make it 1-0 after 3:47, setting the tone. Erik Thorell, Henrik Tömmernes, Samuel Fagemo, Max Lindholm and Max Westergård were the other scorers for Frölunda, who have won nine of their first eleven games of the season and are second behind Färjestad.

It was a solid win. We deserved to take three points, Max Lindholm told TV4.

In the third period, things got really rowdy, and for a while a total of eleven players were in the penalty boxes - six for Frölunda and five for Djurgården.

Djurgården are still struggling and have only 12 points, putting them just ahead of bottom-two teams Linköping and HV71. The latter two met in an early-season basement battle in Jönköping, where visiting Linköping won 3-2 after a shootout.
