Frölunda has turned the tide and taken control of the SM semifinal against Luleå. The Gothenburg team won the third meeting at home with 5–3, leads the match series with 2–1, and can secure a match ball on Friday.

Frölunda decided the ice hockey match in front of 12,044 spectators in Scandinavium at the beginning of the third period when Arttu Ruotsalainen pushed the puck into the net with a direct shot to 4–3 in powerplay.

A few minutes later, a fight broke out behind the Luleå goal after Frölunda's team captain Henrik Tömmernes had shot a shot at the visiting goalkeeper Joel Lassinantti despite the game being stopped for offside.

The incident irritated the visiting team's players, a brawl ensued, and Nicklas Lasu and Frédéric Allard both received match penalties after a fight.

Linus Weissbach later decided the match with his 5–3 goal at the end of the third period.

Frölunda has thus turned the best-of-seven series to a 2–1 lead after a 5–2 win in Luleå on Monday. On Saturday, Luleå won match 1 with 4–2 in Norrbotten.

Semifinal 4 will also be played in Scandinavium in Gothenburg, on Friday.
