Now we'll see who drafts him and what happens then, Frölunda's sports director Fredrik Sjöström told Aftonbladet.
The 18-year-old forward is expected to go high in this summer's NHL draft, perhaps even as number one, after a stellar season with gold at the Junior World Championship and 11 goals and 33 points for Frölunda in the SHL.
His contract with Frölunda is expiring, and the club does not expect him to be available after the draft.
The likely outcome is that he will go high in the draft. Then we don't know which team and exactly what their plans are. We'll have to take it from there. It's very likely that he could be in North America next season, Sjöström said.
