Liverpool were quick to find a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Just hours after it became official with the star's transfer to Real Madrid, the Premier League team presented the right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Dutchman has signed a long-term contract, reports the Premier League champion club.
"A natural choice", says Frimpong in a statement on Liverpool's website.
Frimpong played in Manchester City's youth and junior teams from the age of nine and for ten years. After that, he has been with Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen.
