This summer she switched from one major club to another. Now Fridolina Rolfö has scored her first goal for Manchester United. The major club won 1–0 away against Atlético Madrid in Champions League.

After four years in Barcelona, the Swedish star chose to break the contract with the Spanish top club. Instead, she found her new challenge in England and Manchester United.

There she wants to be "a part of the journey that the club is making on the women's side", she said in connection with the presentation on the club's website.

Now the 31-year-old has contributed.

In the Champions League match away against Atlético Madrid, she scored her first goal for United.

And it was a beautiful one.

Juli Zigiotti Olme's pass went via a defender – and ended up in front of Rolfö. The striker did not hesitate, but went with force when she shot on volley and then saw the ball bore into the net.

The classy goal in the 24th minute was the only one in the match and thus the club has started the CL season with two straight wins.

Next for the United trio Rolfö, Zigiotti Olme, and Anna Sandberg awaits a national team gathering – with new national team coach Tony Gustavsson – and important Nations League matches. The semifinal against Spain will be decided in a double match; away on Friday and the return match at home three days later.
