Per Nilsson has been the head coach of the German national cross-country team and personal trainer to Frida Karlsson for the past four years. The assignment in Germany has ended, Nilsson states, but whether the collaboration with Karlsson will continue is currently unclear.
"We will have that discussion in May. Whether and in what form it will be depends on Frida's and my commitments (camps, etc.) in the respective federations," he writes in a text message to Aftonbladet.
In the Swedish Biathlon Federation's newly created role, Per Nilsson will "create the best possible conditions for the next generation of biathletes," the federation writes in a press release. In that role, cooperation between the federation's national teams will also be strengthened.
