It was on Sunday that Frida Karlsson won the 50km race at the World Championship in Trondheim.
"Frida Karlsson is skipping Oslo to recover for the World Cup finals in Lahtis", says national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.
Karlsson won last year's first 50km race for women in the World Cup, precisely in Oslo. And she became on Sunday in Trondheim the first World Championship gold medalist on the distance on the women's side.
Also Calle Halfvarsson, who fell ill during the World Championship and went home, will miss the Oslo competitions.
In Oslo, two distance races will be held over the weekend, 20 and 10 kilometers (classic style and freestyle respectively) with interval starts for both distances.
"The tracks are being shortened slightly due to the snow", says Byström.
