Skiers such as Maja Dahlqvist, Moa Ilar, Anton Grahn and Calle Halfvarsson - who have Falun as their home arena - are also selected.

As the organizing nation, Sweden has extra starting spots in this weekend's competitions, and several U23 skiers will get to try out for the World Cup.

"It's great to see so many new faces in the World Cup. The national quota gives us the opportunity to give more people the chance to compete at the highest level," says national team manager Anders Byström.

On Saturday, there will be a freestyle sprint and on Sunday, a skiathlon over 20 kilometers.

Falun will host the 2027 World Ski Championships.
