Previously, Frida Edman has also worked with process management at the Gothenburg Region's Municipal Association and been the director of the Media Days in Gothenburg. She says that she is proud to take over after Björn Sandmark.

According to Grith Fjeldmose, chairperson of the Gothenburg City Theatre's board, what decided the election was Frida Edman's large cultural network. She points out that the most important thing going forward is clear financial management, the ongoing organizational change, and the focus on continuing the theatre's artistic successes.
