The group will work closely with prosecutors and police to initiate investigations into suspected crimes involving French citizens.
As part of the initiative, the investigation into French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, a close associate of Epstein who was found dead in his cell in 2022, will be scrutinized for new clues. Brunel was arrested on suspicion, among other things, of the rape of minors.
Several French public figures appear in the Epstein documents, including former senior politician Jack Lang, who is being investigated for financial crimes.
