The soldier is the second fatality from an attack on Saturday that targeted the UN peacekeeping mission UNIFIL in southern Lebanon. A French soldier was also shot dead in the ambush.
President Macron blamed the Islamist group Hezbollah for the attack. Hezbollah denies it was behind the attack, which injured several soldiers.
