Hy24, investor in various hydrogen projects, says in a statement that the company continues to have confidence in the Swedish steel company Stegra's ambition to build the world's largest factory for fossil-free steel.
”There is no reason to question the project, whose conditions are very good", says Pierre-Etienne Franc, founder and CEO of Hy24.
How much money the investment company is investing is unclear.
Last week, Stegra announced that they needed more than ten billion kronor in new capital, partly in the form of equity and more loans, among other things as a result of delays and cost overruns in the project.
Since then, sources in various media have spoken of a crisis for Stegra to get the money, that lenders have made higher demands for more equity.
