French authorities last year launched an investigation into allegations that Musk's social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, was used to interfere in French politics.
The investigation was later expanded to include allegations that the platform was used for Holocaust denial and the dissemination of fake pornographic material.
In addition to the allegations already mentioned, the judge will also decide whether Musk can be considered to have participated in the dissemination of images of sexual abuse of children.
Musk and the platform's former CEO Linda Yaccarino are included in the investigation because they were responsible for operating X at the time of the events.
