Ukraine now has access to Mirage fighter jets from France, announces French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu on X.
"The first have arrived today in Ukraine. With the help of Ukrainian pilots who have been trained for several months in France, they will now participate in the defense of the Ukrainian sky", writes Lecornu.
So far, it has not been officially stated how many Mirage 2000 aircraft will be delivered. According to budget documents in the National Assembly, it is about a total of six aircraft, reports the AFP news agency.
Earlier, Ukraine has also received American F16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands.
