Ukraine now has access to Mirage fighter jets from France, announces French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu on X.
"The first have arrived today in Ukraine. With the help of Ukrainian pilots who have been trained for several months in France, they will now participate in the defense of the Ukrainian sky", writes Lecornu.
So far, it is not officially stated how many Mirage 2000 aircraft will be delivered. According to budget documents in the National Assembly, it is about a total of six aircraft, reports the AFP news agency.
Ukraine has also received more F16 aircraft from the Netherlands, according to the Ukrainian Defense Department, which does not specify how many are involved.
Earlier, Ukraine had received American F16 aircraft from Denmark and the Netherlands.
