The new contract with the Gothenburg-based team extends until 2029.
"There was no hesitation on my part," Holmberg says in a statement on the club’s website and continues:
"This was a priority for me and I hope it was for the club too. It just feels so exciting to be here in Gais."
Holmberg was the one who brought Gais up to the Allsvenskan in the fall of 2023. Last season, the team surprised and came third in the Allsvenskan, which means they will qualify for the European Games this summer.
