Jens-Frederik Nielsen has previously said that Greenlanders neither want to be Danes nor Americans, but Greenlanders.
He reiterates that position.
Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is part of the Kingdom (of Denmark). The situation is very, very serious, he says.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also reiterates that Greenland is not for sale and that Denmark is seeking dialogue with the United States.
We are not looking for conflict, she says, adding that the situation is bigger than the issue of Greenland.

She also warns against taking the issue lightly.
Everything indicates that the hardest part lies ahead.
