Frederiksen on deadly Copenhagen violence: typical pattern of crime by people from outside Denmark

"I also believe that many share a deep anger over a typical pattern," she writes on social media.

"That there is generally too much crime committed by people who have come to Denmark from outside."

A brawl broke out at an event where the World Cup was shown on a big screen on Tuesday last week. A 32-year-old Swede was beaten and taken to hospital, where he died. The man was a police officer in Sweden, but was off duty.

A man has been arrested and is reported to be originally from a country other than Denmark or Sweden, and previously convicted of violent crimes. He is suspected of having carried out the attack, but denies the crime.
