The decision, which SVT was the first to report, was formally made when French President Emmanuel Macron, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) shook hands in connection with the NATO summit in Ankara.
It is not certain that the French, still unclear how many, will end up in Boden when they come to take part in exercises. They could just as easily be in northern Finland, according to information to TT. But it is in Boden that the Swedish force leading the Swedish-Finnish FLF group is based. The group, which was recently set up, should be ready to be deployed in northern Sweden and Finland and will exercise in several places.
