Deschamps was clear at the press conference at MetLife Stadium.
Saliba is doing really well. Of course he has a bit of a back problem, it's nothing new, but we have a system here to deal with it. And everything has been planned so that he doesn't have to do things he doesn't want to do.
He's not 100 percent, but if he's at about 99 percent, that's good enough. That's no problem.
Regarding striker Marcus Thuram's chances of playing, Deschamps says:
As for Marcus, the answer is no because he has a muscle issue. He is unavailable.
Midfielder N'Golo Kanté is also not an option for Deschamps.
For N'Golo, it is not a muscle injury, but it seems doubtful that he would be ready for the starting lineup.
