The decisions come in the wake of widespread protests that have sparked the worst civil unrest in the country in years, with city halls and other public buildings attacked.

New protests are expected in France on Saturday, as several protest groups and unions have announced demonstrations.

Lyon's home match against Angers will therefore be moved from Saturday to Sunday, the French league organisation LFP announced in a statement.

The matches between Nice and Rennes, and Lorient and Brest, are also affected and will instead be played on Friday and Monday, respectively.
