The French Foreign Ministry has begun working “to prepare reprisals, to respond, and not to respond alone,” Barrot said in an interview with France Inter.
The goal is to be convincing and impactful, Barrot said.
The issue will be discussed on Wednesday with the foreign ministers of Germany and Poland, Barrot said. The three countries together form "a trio with the capacity to influence Europe," Barrot said.
US President Donald Trump has said that the US “needs” Greenland for security reasons. Both Greenland and Denmark have rejected the bid.
