France cuts 2026 growth forecast to 0.7 percent after weak start to the year

This revision is based on a less favorable start to the year than expected, Roland Lescure tells the newspaper Le Parisien.

The government's previous forecast was for growth of 0.9 percent this year. However, the government's statistics office forecast is already at 0.7 percent, while economists at the country's central bank have forecast 0.5 percent growth this year.
