21-year-old debutant Cimberly from Skellefteå was not tipped in advance by the betting companies or Melodifestivalklubben, but now it is clear that she has made it all the way to the final in the Strawberry Arena.

Cimberly won "Idol" in 2023, which was the starting point for her career. Now she makes her debut in Melodifestivalen with the entry "Eternity", which she herself has described as "cheeky disco pop".

She cries and laughs with joy after the competition.

"I am very, very happy and proud of myself," she tells TT.

Stomach ache

Smash Into Pieces shook off a stomach bug and won the most votes in Malmö. Frontman Chris Adams was still not completely well during the performance, says guitarist Per Bergquist.

"He's still a bit groggy. He couldn't eat anything today; he hasn't fully recovered."

Smash Into Pieces, who are participating for the third time, have been tipped from the start. The rock group has been clear that their goal is to win and represent Sweden in Eurovision and now they have come one step closer.

"We will obviously do everything we can," says Bergquist.

Declaration of love

Meira Omar took third place, which means she will go to the final with the entry "Dooset Daram". According to her, the song is a passionate love tribute to her husband, whom she met in "Love Is Blind".

"In this declaration of love, when talking about something so natural, I want to bring it back to natural elements that I think symbolize love."

The fourth round of the Melodifestivalen, which takes place in Malmö, began with presenter Gina Dirawi being jokingly carried off stage after she joked about cutbacks at SVT.
