Tommy Bildström, library manager in Nordmaling Municipality, is one of the recipients of an award from the Swedish Library Association. As someone with dyslexia, he has personal insight into how to inspire more people to read.
"I can sometimes feel dizzy when I think about what my life would have been like if I hadn't discovered comics and reading. It's really about having the tools to shape your identity and your life, so it's vital," he says in a press release.
Other award winners are Örebro Library (for its work on children's rights), Örnsköldsvik Library Bus (mobile library of the year) and Johanna Sandberg, a librarian at Arken Library in Örnsköldsvik (for outstanding contributions to the public library sector).
