Four Swedes get wild cards for Stockholm Open tennis

Stockholm Open is among the last few events on the ATP Tour and therefore it is difficult to attract the best players on the tour, especially those who have already qualified for the ATP Playoffs.

Elias Ymer and Max Dahlin will play in the main draw when the Stockholm Open begins on November 7. Leo Borg and Olle Wallin have wild cards for qualifying.

The ATP tournament runs from November 7 to 14 at Kungl. Tennishallen in Stockholm. The four Swedish players received their wild cards from the organisers.

Ymer reached the quarter-finals in Stockholm last year. Dahlin, 20, won the US Open junior doubles title in 2023 and made his Davis Cup debut for Sweden this autumn, the tournament says.

Borg reached the round of 16 at last year's tournament, according to Swedish public broadcaster SVT. Wallin also represented Sweden in the Davis Cup this autumn, SweTennis reports. The tournament has returned to the Stockholm Open name after three years as the Nordic Open, SVT says.

Denmark's Holger Rune is confirmed for the tournament, while Norway's Casper Ruud is set to defend his title, the organisers say. The tournament's player page cautions that participation can change.
