The attack took place on Sunday in the Caribbean Sea, the military command Southcom wrote on X.
Including the latest attack, a total of 235 people have been killed in the 70 US attacks on boats in the eastern Pacific and Caribbean Sea since last year, according to the AP news agency.
The recurring attacks have drawn sharp criticism from several quarters, not least because no evidence has been presented that the boats were used for drug smuggling.
