According to a Telegram statement from Ukrainian police, Russia's missile attack on the industrial city of Dnipro had targeted a private company.
Five people were killed and nearly 30 more were injured in the attack, Dnipropetrovsk region governor Oleksandr Hanzha writes on Telegram.
In addition, three people were killed in a Russian attack on a city bus in Zaporizhia further south, according to local authorities.
Two people were killed in a Russian drone attack on the northeastern Sumy region, according to Ukraine's National Police.
In Kharkiv, one person was killed and five injured in a Russian attack, according to the city's mayor.
In a post on X , Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls the attacks cruel.
"People are in need of increased protection against such brutal attacks. Above all, we need anti-ballistic capabilities," the president writes.
Attempts to reach an end to the war have stalled as Russia and Ukraine have escalated their attacks on each other in recent months.
Over the weekend, Ukraine carried out several attacks on oil refineries and infrastructure inside Russia and in Russian-occupied territories. Several people were reported killed in Ukraine's attacks.
